Basket Weave quilt
This is one of the first quilts I made and the second one I had quilted. Placing the block pieces in just the right order proved a bit of a challenge. And after I had sewn all of the strips together and had laid the finished top on the floor, my son came in and remarked, "Mom, some of those are not right." As a matter of fact, eight of them were not right! Thank goodness for my Bernina seam ripper...a true friend in a time of need!
Sadly, the colors just didn't photograph well. They are actually a
little brighter and the background is a little richer than what shows in the
photo. One of my favorite elements to this quilt is the backing fabric. Joel Dewberry ♥
