A sweet little two year old boy, whom we know through our church, was recently diagnosed with cancer. Because he would be spending time in the hospital, I made this smaller quiet book for him. It only took about ten hours, and I made the bulk of it in one night while up with a sick child. I'd almost forgotten how much you can accomplish when there's little interruption!

| The strip of polka dot fabric across the front is cut from pinwale corduroy. It adds a nice texture. |

| The pocket on the left (inside front cover) holds the clothes for the snowman. He also can sport a western outfit! |

| The pumpkin opens from the top and holds a variety of mouths and eyes to use for decorating. |

| The shapes are matched to a black duplicated image and adhere with velcro. |

| The tank is made from thin vinyl with a strip of bias tape at the top to give it some stability. I changed up the tee-pee pattern to make it a circus tent. Unzip the front and see the monkey (applique) sewn inside! |

| The pen and paper are from The Dollar Store. The weaving strips are cut from heavy felt which is sold in limited colors (4) on the bolt. I think that the weaving page is best placed at the end of the book so that it can lay flat. |
