Here is the quiet (let's hope!) book that I will use when my little grandbabies come and visit to help with the wiggles when we go to church.

I put two tags on this cover just for fun. The book makes a little noise, but not so much that it's no longer considered "quiet"! |

This page was my biggest challenge - not only figuring out how to make candles but then how to get them to stand up! In the end, I cut apart the "posts" from a flat wooden fence piece (craft dept.) and covered them with paper adhered with mod podge. They slip into buttonholes with fabric pockets for each one (behind the cake). |

Such cute little pages! The house is three simple puzzle pieces attached with velcro circles. The laundry clothespins were a great find by my friend, Leigh. Aren't they adorable? |
I love the fleece binding tape on the mitten. On the coat, the fabric is backed by felt to give it some stability. Have I mentioned the beauty of double-stick fusible web? |
The purse is filled with a key on a flat fabric key chain, hotel key, paper play money, and comb. I LOVE Jennifer's idea for using elastic sequins! |
The flowers velcro onto the page. The owl's eyes snap on with over-sized snaps, and his wings are free to flap! |
The clock was tricky because I didn't want to paint the numbers onto the sparkle felt. In the end, I hot glued the circle tabs onto the felt and covered the face with thin vinyl. The hands are cut from a plastic binder and adhered with a jeans rivet. The bed pattern is from a vintage coloring book. You can slip little teddy under the covers! |
The star beads are flat enough to not add too much bulk but a lot of shine! I copied the horse shape from a photo of a stuffed animal I found online. Artist I am NOT! |
Tricky little circus tent. I'm not sure how it's going to hold up because the bars are rounded elastic and were a challenge to secure. As far as the eye spy fabric acquisition goes, if you ask for a fabric sample from the store, usually you can get enough to get a 1-2 inch square...all for free! |
